This weekend Chad Mason will be with Calvary in view of a call as Pastor for Mobilization and Global Impact. The schedule includes:
- A come-and-go brunch in the church parlor on Saturday (January 12) from 10:00 AM--12:00 PM to meet Chad;
- Chad's introduction in each of our worship services on Sunday (January 13);
- Church in Conference at 6:30 PM in the worship center to vote by secret ballot on calling him to this position
Chad's wife, Alise, is expecting their second child. She is in the final weeks of her pregnancy and, thus, will not be able to travel down with Chad to be with us this weekend.

Dear Friends at Calvary,
Your Mobilization and Global Impact
Search Committee would like to take this opportunity to introduce Pastor Chad
Mason. We unanimously believe he
has been chosen by God to be the next MAGI Pastor of Calvary Baptist
Church. Chad is thirty-three years
of age and has been married to his wife Alise for six years. They have a daughter, Makaila, who is one-year
old; and one on the way, due in February of 2013. The family currently resides in Vidor, Texas. He has been serving as Senior Pastor of
Rose City Baptist Church.
Pastor Chad holds a Master of Leadership
degree from Bakke Graduate University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Education from Northwest University of Kirkland, Washington. He is currently Perspectives Regional
Director of Texas and Director of Internships of Breakthrough Partners. He has previous pastoral experience serving
as Minister of Youth and Missions at Central Baptist Church of Port Neches,
Texas; as an Associate Director of Missions for Vida Nueva, Nueva Esperanza
Ministries of Parras De La Fuente, Mexico; and as an Associate Pastor of
Outreach and Missions at Northlake Christian Church of Bothell, Washington.
Our committee has interacted and
interviewed with Pastor Chad on numerous occasions. Our continued interaction with him includes both individual
and group sessions by phone and email.
We have found him to be of good humor, approachable, well-versed, and interested
in a wide variety of subjects. He
is passionate about missions and mobilizing the body of Christ.
We have diligently met to seek
God’s guidance and interview prospects for the MAGI Pastor position. Our duties included praying together, reviewing
numerous résumés, and conducting phone/video/face-to-face interviews. At this time in the history of our
church, we have determined that Pastor Chad Mason is God’s man for the position
of MAGI Pastor. He will come in
view of a call to our congregation on the weekend of January 11-13, 2013. Opportunities to meet Pastor Chad will
be announced in the coming weeks.
In Christ,
MAGI Pastor Search Committee
